What this site does with your data

Your survey answers stay in your browser. Answers and any pack you paste are saved in your browser's local storage so you can resume. They are never sent to us or to anyone else. Clearing your browser data removes them.

Server logs. The site is hosted by Netlify. Like any web host, Netlify records standard access logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, time). We do not use these to identify individuals. Netlify's own privacy policy governs that processing.

Fonts. The Archivo typeface is loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests the font files from Google and Google receives your IP address in that request.

If you give us your email address, it is stored by Netlify Forms and used for one purpose: to tell you when a country is added or an election is approaching. We do not sell, share or rent the list, and we do not add anyone to it who has not asked.

To be removed, email info@wheredoyousit.com from the address you signed up with, or use the unsubscribe line in any message we send.

If you support the site, the payment is handled by a third-party donation service. We receive your name (if you give it), the amount and any message. We never see your card details. The donation service's own privacy policy applies to the payment itself.

At present there are no advertisements on this site and we set no advertising or analytics cookies. The only storage we use is the local storage described above, which is functional and holds your own answers.

If advertising is introduced in future, this page will be updated first, a consent banner will appear before any advertising script loads, and political, religious and government-category advertising will be blocked so far as the ad network allows. You will be able to decline.

We never link your answers to your identity. We never share individual results with anyone, including political parties. We never accept payment from any party, campaign or advocacy organisation for anything.

Where privacy law gives you rights over data we hold (including under the Australian Privacy Act, UK and EU GDPR, and equivalent laws), you can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to its use. In practice the only personal data we may hold is a mailing-list email address or a donation record, and we will act on any request sent to info@wheredoyousit.com.
